What is Bonnet Bolted Gate Valve ?
The gate valve is a valve with an opening and gate driven by a valve stem and a linear lifting and lowering motion along the seat (sealing surface). Generally, gate valves cannot be used to regulate flow, but can only be used as a cut-off device, either fully open or fully closed. Bolted bonnet is the most commonly used connection structure, and most industrial gate valves today use this structure. Unlike threaded and union-type connection structures, the connection between the valve body and the bonnet in the bolted bonnet structure requires a gasket seal.

The characteristics of bonnet bolted gate valve

The structure of bonnet bolted gate valve is compact, the valve has good rigidity, the passage is smooth, the flow resistance is small, the sealing surface is made of stainless steel and hard alloy, the service life is long, the PTFE packing is used, the sealing is reliable, and the operation is light and flexible.

The valve has small fluid resistance. Since the gate valve body is a straight-through type, the medium flow does not change direction, so the flow resistance is smaller than other valves.

The seat seal ring can be directly welded on the valve body to form a sealing surface according to customer requirements. For cast iron, stainless steel, and copper alloy valves, the sealing surface can also be directly processed on the valve body.

Electric, pneumatic power and manpower can be directly transmitted to the valve stem or valve stem nut. Handwheel, bonnet, transmission mechanism, connecting shaft and universal coupling are often used for long-distance driving.
